Engineering consulting firm Schroeder & Associés engaged Tertia Office Solutions for the supply of 350 Steelcase workstations and chairs. For Olivier Zirnheld, administrator, employee well-being is a driver of performance and creativity.
In May 2020, Schroeder & Associés moved to the Poudrerie site in Kockelscheuer (south Luxembourg). This new headquarters accommodates 350 employees in a spacious 8,000 m2 area, configured with open-plan offices from one to four people. “We wanted workstations and chairs that match the standards of an engineering consultancy office. This means functional, robust, and durable furniture, as well as ergonomic with electric sit-stand adjustments to ensure our employees’ comfort. We weren’t familiar with Steelcase, but following our research, they quickly emerged as an ideal partner,” explains Olivier Zirnheld, administrator of Schroeder & Associés.
A genuine business strategy, worklife is an exhibition space that showcases flagship products of a brand to clients. “We visited the Steelcase Worklife in Schiltigheim, near Strasbourg, France, and the Steelcase Learning Innovation Center in Munich, Germany, both of which confirmed our partnership. Having a product catalog is great, but being able to see and touch the furniture was decisive in our choice!” The Steelcase Business Center in Strasbourg invites customers to explore various tools, solutions, and services that help create engaging workspaces. As for the Learning+Innovation Center in Munich (one of the most renowned cities for design!), it’s a hub entirely dedicated to workspace innovation! Therefore, Schroeder & Associés knocked on the right door!
Well-being at work helps people to be more focused, creative and innovative, as many surveys have shown. However, during their working day, employees do not change their posture often enough. Therefore, Schroeder & Associates chose Steelcase’s Migration range, featuring electrically adjustable desks that facilitate smooth transitions from sitting to standing positions in minimal time. As for the seating, Schroeder & Associés ordered Steelcase’s Please range, a chair with two backrests that follow the spine and offer users real freedom of movement. “The furniture has been very well received by the employees, who truly use the alternating sitting-standing positions for work. It’s a proof that mindsets are changing!” comments Olivier Zirnheld, who’s convinced of the link between well-being at work and a company’s competitiveness.
