“Our company specializes in providing personalized wealth management services to a private clientele primarily from Western Europe. We maintain a personal relationship, listening to and supporting our clients. At Privalux, we prioritize relational meaning,” explains Didier Galy. “We wanted a work environment that is transparent, reassuring, and warm, but also slightly unconventional compared to the typical image associated with our profession. No to formal attitudes, mahogany buffets, or leather sofas. However, we embrace a more contemporary mood to engage our employees and enhance our appeal to young potential candidates. Beautiful offices serve as a true marketing tool!”
Tertia Luxembourg was tasked with the turnkey layout of Privalux Management’s new 320 m2 premises. This included space planning, design and construction, technical considerations, finishing touches, and furnishing. The process began with interviews to understand Privalux Management’s requirements thoroughly.
“We have a 320m2 space located in a recent building in the heart of Luxembourg City, which initially featured a large area divided into sub-spaces with offices designated for management and others, smaller ones, for the rest of the team. Tertia completely redesigned and refurbished this space. The first step was identifying our needs and defining the space according to our corporate culture. It was an intellectual process where we expressed the values that drive the team: transparency, intellectual rigor, personality, listening skills, and warm attention. These keywords were then translated by Tertia’s teams into layout concepts. Transparency was embodied by a large open space, a direct contrast to closed, padded doors fostering a culture of secrecy! At Privalux Management, clients immediately enter a vast open area where different desks (sales, management, administrative) work without barriers. Closed spaces are limited to two executive offices, the glass partitions of which are also… transparent.” Tertia added venetian blinds, offering a flexible solution to safeguard privacy during, for instance, board meetings if necessary. “Most of the time, these blinds remain open because transparency is the guiding principle of our company. We have nothing to hide…”
Privalux Management also aimed to emphasize warm relationships. “Tertia installed an ultra-friendly work café allowing for quick meals and encouraging informal meetings, which can then transition to a well-furnished lounge area with carefully selected armchairs and a sofa. Tertia also provided excellent advice regarding furniture and colors. Lastly, to underscore our company’s modernity, we opted for two Framery acoustic booths to structure the space. One, in yellow, adds an original touch.” Interestingly, these two Framery spaces were immediately embraced by Privalux Management’s employees for making phone calls or holding informal meetings. As for client reactions, “they’re all positive,” assures Didier Galy, who received numerous compliments for the modern, tasteful arrangement, orchestrated by Tertia. “This structured open space exudes a creative atmosphere. It precisely conveys the message we want to communicate to our clients,” he concludes with enthusiasm.
