Sylvain Chery, co-founder and director of Agile Partner, enlisted Tertia Office Solutions for the design and layout of their workspaces, including the supply of mobile office furniture customized to accommodate the “Agile” work methodologies practiced by their staff.
Since 2004, Agile Partner has been developing customized software solutions and helping clients transition into more agile businesses. “We saw our relocation as an opportunity to invest in new offices by completely reimagining the workspace. Starting nearly from scratch gave us the freedom to design the layout, especially since we were moving into a smaller space that required optimization. Although we lacked a detailed specification document, our objectives were clear: we wanted flexible spaces accessible to any team and smooth circulation to encourage users interaction. Tertia attentively listened to our requirements and promptly presented layout concepts, which we further explored in internal workshops to engage employees in the design process,” explained Sylvain Chery.
Spaces aligned with a mindset and work methods
The nature of Agile work relies on collaboration, adaptability to change, and creativity, requiring a variety of spaces suitable for different stages of team work, individual work, or pairing. Tertia Office Solutions therefore proposed an open layout concept. Open, yes, but punctuated with flexible workstations, meeting areas, rest areas, acoustic booths for isolation or small group work, and furnished with mobile and electric furniture to reconfigure offices based on team dynamics and performance tools. Height-adjustable furniture was also provided to ensure well-being at work, which, it must be emphasized, is an undeniable source of performance.
Turnkey Solution
Agile Partner opted for the Design & Build approach for a turnkey office layout. Tertia Office Solutions analyzed the client’s needs, conceptualized the layout, advised on materials and colors, executed the work, and provided the furniture. All aspects were customized to fit the client’s corporate culture. “Having a single, readily available contact person for all tasks and the supply of mobile furniture was particularly beneficial, especially considering the wide range of furniture options and layout solutions offered by Tertia Office Solutions!”
The project was scheduled to start in March 2020, but the Covid-19 crisis intervened. “The lockdown forced us to put everything on hold, plunging us into a period of real uncertainty. We decided to prioritize investments in the crucial aspects of the new office layout. Tertia Office Solutions demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in accommodating these changes. The final result met our expectations, and user satisfaction is evident. Tertia proved to be a genuine partner, and in the end, it evolved into a truly Agile project!” concludes Sylvain Chery.
